Water quality sensor – SVR100
SVR 100 is a compact, non-contact radar sensor for measuring water surface velocity and flow direction. Designed to measure flow in open rivers and canals where reliable velocity data is required on a continuous basis, particularly during floods or when there are high concentrations of suspended sediments.

FAQ
Are administrative authorisations required to install the sensor?
Installation permits must be obtained for public structures and listed buildings. These are the responsibility of the customer.
They are not essential for private structures.
Does the sensor comply with the GDPR?
The sensor, its software and algorithms are fully compliant with the GDPR.
Does the SVR 100 radar sensor have to be installed above the watercourse? How far from the edge/bank can the measurement be taken?
The sensor should, if possible, be positioned so as to cover the area where the surface velocity is highest, perpendicular to the water surface. For sections of homogeneous flow, this area is generally in the middle of the
current. Measurement from the bank is critical, because in this case the amount of energy returned to the sensor is much lower.
