The Météo des chantiers on the Grand Paris Express

The Grand Paris Express is one of the largest public works projects in Europe, totalling 200km of lines and 68 stations in the Paris region.
The majority of sites are located in dense urban areas with a high potential for nuisance to residents.

In order to calm relations between residents and the nearby construction sites, the Société des grands projets – project management – wanted to offer residents more transparency on the life of the new metro’s construction sites as well as a tool to better anticipate potential nuisances.

Sound sensors installed on all the most sensitive sites of the project, and connected to the UBY Environment platform, record noise levels and allow to visualize the origin of noises.

The project management informs the platform of the noise levels planned for the next 10 days, thanks to the technical elements provided by the construction companies.

The UBY widget Météo des chantiers, deployed for each project, provides local residents with the expected sound weather over the coming days and in real time the noise level recorded on site and the origin of the noise.
This is displayed by colored overlay on the image captured by the acoustic camera.

The municipalities or communities on which these operations are located can use this communication tool for their citizens on their own web pages.

The Site Weather solution is available for any project owner or any work company in our UBY Com offer!

UBY is growing fast and we are constantly looking for new employees.
